Honorable Mentions/Runners Up:
I really don't know why I like this card. It's just so goofy and versatile that I love it. I'm personally not a huge fan of red but I really like this card.
I adore the design of this card. The versatility of it is amazing. You can use it as a sac outlet. You can use it to counter a creature. You can use it to flash in a blocker. Or all three at once.

By far one of my favorite cards in the format, especially for draft/limited. Being a black player this is a really interesting card particularly for the Exploit keyword introduced in Dragons of Tarkir. Cast a few creatures and exploit a few more to get them in your graveyard and BAM! You've got yourself a big creature ready to swing on your turn. This card just has a certain flare that I really like and has great synergy with other cards in the set.

Recursion? Good. Rebound? Even better. Although the mana cost is way too high for most formats, this card fits in perfectly with my personal favorite format, commander. The high cost lets it fit in perfectly with a slower format, and works particularly well as a nice failsafe against an unrecoverable loss. Now aside from the technical aspect...this card is just really cool. The art is great and the fact that is has rebound is even better.

This is definitely not the best card printed in the set but damn if it isn't a really cool one. The trigger happening when your opponents cast a spell is just a kick in the shin. They try to cast a lightning bolt/strike and you gain life, this thing gets bigger, and you gain life. This really is just a great card and I love playing with it.

I've always wanted to build a zombie tribal commander deck and it's cards like this that make it easier and easier to fill in the gaps. Not only does it make your other zombies bigger, but it's self recurring. It can't block meaning there's no reason to not attack with it and if it dies you can just cast it from your graveyard again. Recursion is always a big plus in my book. This card is just overall great even with the balancing on the recursion ability.
6.
If this card made soldiers instead of warriors, this would potentially be one of the best token generators ever printed. The fact that this is a one mana cost at instant speed to make a bunch of tokens. My second favorite color deck has got to be red/white tokens and ever since this card was spoiled I knew that this would be in almost every token deck that I made. It's just so good I get all giddy whenever I draw it because I know I'm about to do some damage with it.
5.
This card is so unique I love it. Even though it's in my least favorite color I love this card to death. It can pump it's attack and give itself flying on a stick. Even without the formidable trigger making dragon tokens whenever you want, this card is a monster. I don't even know how to keep going on about this card it really speaks for itself.
4.
This card was the most annoying thing to deal with in the pre-release for this set. With morphs running wild this thing constantly slips under everyone's nose and you never expect it until you drop your big dumb creature and have it killed right away. The fact that this thing has lifelink is just the icing on the cake. You can swing with your morph and flip it, kill their biggest thing, and then gain some life. There really are no downsides to this card.
3.
A nice big creature that dodges removal pretty easily, especially since it's black. I adore the fact that you just straight up take control of an opponent's planeswalker or big creature. The fact that it has flying AND deathtouch make it an even better card and the high toughness makes the deathtouch even more usable. I honestly just love this thing to death.
2.
This is one of those cards that I didn't think that I would like as much as I do. Red and green isn't my favorite colour combination to play with but something about this card just makes me love it. Two mana at instant speed to put a land into play and prevent opponents from gaining life? It's just way too good for it's own good. If I played Red/Green more often, this is definitely one card that I would put in pretty much every deck I made.
1.
Last but most certainly not least...Dragonlord Dromoka. Between all the Dragonlords, Dromoka is definitely the best of them. She can't be countered, prevents your opponents from casting spells on your turn, and has flying and lifelink with a decent power/toughness for his cost. Dragonlord Dromoka has literally no downsides in my opinion and I adore playing with her.

A sacrifice outlet, a big creature, and a tutor all in one creature is just too much not to be at number 1. For the sake of argument we'll say that Sidisi, Undead Vizier is number 0 on the list.
